News & Calendar:
- This week we begin our first Literacy Unit: “Kindness.”
- Thank you to everyone who has been marking their days read online for the Ken Garff reading program! So far we have 18 from the red and 25 students from the blue class who have already registered (or talked with me about using the planner.) Great job!
- If you have not registered yet, please go to www.RTSUtah.com ASAP and get that done so that you can enter your reading homework from last week; it is due by Friday at the latest. Here are the codes for if you haven’t registered/connected your account yet:
o Jensen Homeroom code= RTS-5833
o Pitts Homeroom code= RTS-5834
- For those of you who have spoken to me about not having internet access, make sure you have initialed your student’s days read in the planner on the September calendar page. We will log those at school on Monday.
- If you are ordering a school T-shirt, the orders are due by Thursday, September 11th. The PTA will be at the school on Thursday from 3-3:45 p.m. if you’d like to use a credit card.
- For the PTA fundraiser, playground donations (white envelopes) will be collected each Friday morning and returned before the end of the day. Pennies for our Playground is the link to be able to donate to our Donation Drive online, and share with family and friends! The PTA will be matching up to $3,000. Pennies for our Playground will go until Thursday, October 9th.
- One more reminder: please put your name at the top of every piece of your homework! We had 2 students who received a zero for their language HW last week because there was no name, and we couldn’t narrow down whose they were. 🙁 The papers get pulled out of the folders and sorted into boxes so that the teachers can grade them, so the name must be at the top to get credit.
